Video: The Riddle in a Bottle
A few weeks ago I promised another DVD giveaway. It's taken me awhile, but here it is! First you get the review, then the chance to enter.
The Riddle in the Bottle is another flick from the sister and brother duo, Laura Sams and Robert Sams, at Sisbro Productions.
Follow up:

It's a story about weather, tides, currents and a singing pirate.
The footage is beautiful in this film and it is a great way for kids to have fun learning about the movement of water on the planet--something that most of us take for granted.
Two siblings, calling themselves "The Riddle Solvers", try to solve a riddle that comes to them in a glass bottle. They seek help from aquatic creatures in the ocean, tidepools, rivers and ponds. They turn into raindrops and hear the saga of a missing peg leg from a pirate.
You can watch the trailer and a couple songs from the film here.
Like the other movie I reviewed, Bearly Alike, this one comes with a set of activities for classroom teachers. Many of these activities can be modified to work for parents and one or more kid.
I suggest watching the movie, then getting out to a stream, pond, ocean or whatever water you have near you and exploring!
Want to win this DVD? Two ways to enter (do one or both):
1. Leave a comment below telling me about your (or your child's) favorite aquatic critter.
2. Tweet about this giveaway on Twitter (make sure @yourwildchild is in the post so I see it ). Leave a comment with the link to your post (click on the time stamp to get the individual address for your post).
That's it. I'll pick a winner 5pm Sunday, July 12th.
